1. Determine field size

One of the 3 major factors used to determine pricing for hole-in-one contests is the number of players in the tournament field. 72 players is a common field size in a shotgun start, since that has one foursome starting on each hole.

2. Choose grand prize(s)

The first prize that needs to be chosen is the grand prize. The most common selections are cash, a car (hybrids have been especially popular lately), or even a motorcycle. Note two main prize values to consider: your grand prize needs to have a cash value of at least $5,000 in order for you to be eligible to add on package prizes. $10,000 is the maximum prize value that does not require a third party witness. It is common for multiple grand prizes to be selected, your prize makeup is entirely up to you and your budget.

3. Select hole distance(s)

A grand prize hole really should play at least 150 yards in order to be most cost effective. We can cover grand prizes on shorter holes, but the cost climbs quickly as the yardage falls below 150. It is best to reserve shorter holes for package prizes, we can cover package prizes down to 100 yards.

4. Add package prize(s)

Once you have chosen your grand prize and the hole/distance from which that contest is to be held, the package prizes and holes/distances for those contests can be chosen. You may select package prize(s) as long as your grand prize has a cash value of at least $5,000. The costs associated with package prizes are small compared to the grand prize, and tee signs for each prize hole are incluced.
