Q: What if the signs are placed at the wrong distance?
A: The contract for Hole in One insurance is based upon the actual hole number and distance in yards to the flag.
Therefore, it is very important that all signs are placed at the correct location so that golfers tee off from the right distance. If a golfer hits a hole-in-one from a distance that is shorter than the distance on the contract, the shot will most likely be disqualified.

Q: What if the number of golfers changes prior to the tournament?
A: This is not a problem. Email us at

with the change in golfers by 3:00 pm (EST)
on the business day prior to your tournament and we can change the number of golfers. Also, Golf Tournament
HIO has a 5% variance built in to the package, so if you have covered 100 golfers for the day of the event but
another foursome shows up you are still covered. However, be careful, if you exceed this 5% your tournament is
no longer covered under the terms of your Hole in One insurance contract. We recommend that if you are not
sure of the exact number of golfers, you should estimate on the high side or pad the number with an extra
foursome or two
Q: How will I know that my event is covered?
A: Within 24 hours of receipt of your payment, An actual Hole in One insurance contract will be emailed,
faxed or first class mailed confirming critical terms including but not limited to number of golfers, date and time
of event, golf course, hole numbers, distances, prizes and event cost prior to the event. This contract will be the
basis for any payouts awarded.
Q: What if one of our players hits a hole-in-one or a putt at our event?
A: In the event of a hole-in-one by a registered and qualified participant, the golf tournament director must notify
Golf Tournament HIO within one (1) business day of the name of the winning participant, the hole number and
the prize claimed. (See Hole-in-One Incident Report under Terms & Conditions) Golf Tournament HIO will
provide the tournament director with a claims affidavit which must be completed and signed by all required
parties. In addition to the claims affidavit, the tournament director must provide a clear copy of both sides of the
winner’s attested scorecard, a letter from the club pro and the final tournament pairing sheet to be received by
Golf Tournament HIO within ten (10) days of the event.
Q: What if our event is rained out or cancelled?
A: If a tournament is cancelled without any shots being taken, it may be rescheduled at no additional charge.
If the tournament is not rescheduled, the full fee will be refunded subject to a $75 cancellation fee if signs were
produced and/or shipped prior to Golf Tournament HIO being notified of cancellation.
Once Tournament play begins, the Hole in One insurance contract is final and no full or partial refund will be
made if the event is subsequently cancelled or postponed prior to completion regardless of the number of shots
actually taken or holes actually played.
