Hole in One Insurance

Main Hole in One Prizes starting at a distance of 135 yards and Bonus Prizes starting at a distance of 100 yards

The cost for Hole in One insurance or golf shootout insurance is based upon three factors: the number of golfers attempting the shot, the distance of the attempt and the prize value that you will win. Changing any one of these factors will affect the cost of your golf insurance premium.

At Golf Tournament HIO we have tried to give every golf tournament director the opportunity to select the distance that is right for the skill level of their participants and their budget. Typically the shorter the distance to the hole, the greater the odds are that a golfer will hit a Hole in One.  Our distances are broken down from:

100 yards to 134 yards
135 yards to 149 yards
150 yards and longer

We have found that most golfers prefer to attempt shots at a distance greater than 150 yards. However, there are some holes that just will not play longer than 150 yards. Therefore you have the ability to adjust the cost of your Hole in One insurance accordingly. So for this example, you are looking to cover 144 golfers for a car that is valued at $25,000 and three bonus prizes. If you have four par 3 holes and you are playing from the white tees with distances of:

Hole # 2  is 157 yards
Hole # 7  is 165 yards
Hole #13 is 138 yards
Hole #17 is 159 yards

And you put the car on Hole #13 (with a distance of 138 yards) and bonus prizes on the other three, the cost for your Hole in One insurance will be $1,194.00.

Now let’s see what happens in the same example if we place the car on Hole #2 (with a distance of 157 yards) and three bonus prizes, the cost for your hole in one insurance drops to $826.00. That is a savings of $368.00.

Let’s take this example one step further and recalculate the Hole in One insurance premium based upon 100 golfers as opposed to 144 golfers with the car on hole #2. In this case the cost for your Hole in One insurance drops to $595.00.

Hopefully you now have an idea of how you can manipulate the three different factors to manage your price and budget accordingly. Please try using the Hole in One quote calculator so that you can get an idea of the cost for the particular golf course that you will play your golf tournament.
